At the 19 century, the canuts appeared in Lyon. They was a lot of workers, so they had to live in horrible and smally flat. They had to worked very hard and they earned a pitance. The machines called "La Bistanclaque"-> It's a big and strong machine. They kept their machine in their house, so they could worked the night to. They lived at the Croix Rousse, a big (and lovely) district. They had a difficult life (The canuts did many rebellions) . The Maison des Canuts is a museum about this ancien job. Here, you can see how the canuts did this hard work. The Bistanclaques help you to imagine the past. It's a beautiful and big museum who tell to us who the canuts worked very hard. You know what? Guignol is a canuts!
